About us

The Gasthof Sempt was established at this location over 180 years ago, and has remained, since the early 1900’s, in the hands of the Swaiger family.

Each previous generation throughout the years has left their mark in the form of building modifications, and extensions etc, but we have always strived to ensure a warm and familiar atmosphere for our guests. We want to always strive to maintain this.

With the modifications to increase the guest capacity, combined with the creation of a barrier-free restaurant and hotel, Renate and Michael Swaiger are continuing the traditions of enhancements for the future.

Tradition

Clubs and associations are very important to us in maintaining our close knit friendship with the local community.

We are a second home for the rifle club Sempt, the angling club Sportfischer of TSV Kronwinkl, the “Magic Circle” Moosburg Landshut, the “Goldwingern” and a pack of cards is always available for our regulars at their “Stammtisch“.

In addition, musical events, such as the “Hoagartn”, “Wirtshaussingen“, “Oidboari week-end” and many more. In 2011 we were also officially recognised as a “musician-friendly pub”, an award which we were particularly pleased to have achieved.

Environment

The community Wang at the border of upper and Lower Bavaria is the ideal place, in order to recover and to enjoy the beauty of nature.
It is also a perfect starting point for trips into the surrounding environment.

History

The Sempt hotel has a long and rich history dating back years. The Schwaiger/Jungbauer families are writing, at present, their own small part of this history.
